So many amazing individuals assisted us during the lockdown we would like to sage a huge THANK YOU
Without the support of The Calvin Ayre Foundation the Charity would have come to a grinding holt. We have continued to work with the children throughout the pandemic with home schooling, we have continued to feed the children hot lunches and we have been able to keep the staff fully employed.
The farm/company (Arawak) owned by Rob Barrett Provided a regular supply of melons, tomatoes, peppers, aubergine and butternut squash. These items where so plentiful that we gave packages to all our student families and the FDC chef.
Gail Carmichael neighbor to Kate our Senior Supervisor donated chicken and eggs during lockdown too.
Miss Devonette Isaac a past volunteer donated parsley, cilantro, and lettuces just as we closed. These items made a good seasoning.
Katia Fetarelli donated a cheque of $500 that went towards buying meats and food items to assist the food program.
Selma Crump and Julian Wilkens from the Rotary Club donated a brand-new phone to a student’s parent, providing an opportunity for the student to access the much needed physiotherapy and the virtual interactive classroom. The phone over time became a life line especially when the parent’s health began to fail.
Mr. Terence Dornellious donated cases of Lucozade that where distributed between each student and their families and the Urlings Community (physically challenged and elderly).
David Stubbs via Jumby Bay donated produce (eggs, tomatoes, onions, garlic, leeks and watermelon), then more recently fish, cereal, soy milk, jams, ice cream and fruit juice.
Jumby Bay Housing Association donate food packages to each student’s family and FDC. Additionally we received from Jumby Bay Housing Association bags of onions, that went to our chef and plantains that were greatly received by our families and students during the lockdown.
Mrs Melinda Fletcher donated local bread loaves for each of our student’s families throughout the closedown. Now Melinda continues to donates a dozen loaves and chicken each week.
Francis Ann from Bryden’s has donated the food containers which enabled us to deliver hot meals to each student and their siblings throughout the lockdown.
Yao donate yoghurts and ice cream every week.
Mr Paul Mather who organized the Dockyard Challenge in support for the charity raising EC$4199.38.
Mr Jim Lewis, President and Mrs. Sloan Simmons of the Mill Reef Fund donated weekly Snack Bags for the children containing juice/ water/ ensure and potato chips or apple sauce - treats for the children.
Mrs Geouvia donated classroom resources that support fine motor skills and enhance hand to eye coordination, as well as glue and bibs.
Hoists for the children attending the Center were donated by Roger Penfold, Mill Reef, Boltini Trust and Rotary Club.
We had further donations that assisted us in helping the Care Project and our clients in our outreach program during the lockdown from Mrs Geouvia of clothes and new shoes.
Miss Simonetta Di Barbora the manageress at Buccaneer Cove Hotel, towels, duvets and covers.
Tim and Marilyn from France who donate funds every month.
Thanks to everyone who donate through our web pages.
Our Prayers and Thanks go out to everyone.
